Privacy policy

TunerX is built to know as little about you as possible. The app has no account and no telemetry, and this website has no analytics or advertising.

1. Who we are

"TunerX", "we" and "us" refer to the developer of the TunerX app and the operator of tunerx.app. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. The TunerX app

  • No account, no telemetry. The app does not ask you to sign up and does not send usage data, crash reports or identifiers to us. Its only request to us is the update check described below.
  • Your data stays on your device. Playlists, guide data, favorites, hidden items, resume points and settings are stored only on your computer (on Windows, in %APPDATA%\TunerX). Uninstalling asks whether to delete them.
  • Connections you choose. The app connects only to the playlist, guide and stream addresses that you add. Those servers receive your IP address and the requests needed to play the content, under their own privacy policies. We do not see these connections.
  • Update check. Once a day (and when you click "Check now"), the app downloads tunerx.app/version.json to see whether a newer version exists. The request contains no identifiers, lists or usage data; like any web request it reveals your IP address to Cloudflare, which delivers the site. You can turn it off in Settings → General.
  • Contacting us from the app. "Write to us" opens your own email program with a message you can review before sending. "Copy system info" contains version numbers only, without links or channel names.

3. This website

  • No tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media trackers, and we do not set cookies of our own.
  • Hosting and security. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details in order to deliver and protect the site, and may set strictly necessary security cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • No access logs. Our own server does not keep logs of page visits or downloads.

4. The contact form

When you send a message, we receive the email address, the optional name, the topic and the message you entered, and the time it was sent. To block abuse, we also keep a one-way hashed form of your IP address for 24 hours. We use this information only to answer you and to improve TunerX. We do not sell it or share it with anyone, except a service that delivers the message to our mailbox. Messages are deleted within 12 months after the conversation ends, or sooner if you ask.

5. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. We will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.

6. Children

TunerX is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date below. If the app ever starts sending any other data to us, it will be described here first.
